Dr. Tung Truong-Thanh is currently an Associate Professor, Group Leader, and Director of Research at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Phenikaa University (Vietnam). He earned his M.S. degree from Seoul National University (South Korea) in 2014, where he developed novel Diversity-Oriented Synthesis (DOS) and Privileged Substructure-Based DOS (pDOS) pathways under the supervision of Prof. Seung Bum Park. In 2017, he completed his Ph.D. at the University of Copenhagen (Denmark), where he introduced a LEGO-inspired drug design strategy and discovered a new fluorination reaction under the mentorship of Prof. John Nielsen and Prof. Søren B. Christensen. That same year, he was a visiting researcher at the University of Helsinki (Finland) with Prof. Jari Yli-Kauhaluoma. He later conducted postdoctoral research at Aarhus University (Denmark) with Prof. Alexander N. Zelikin, followed by a second postdoctoral position at the University of Pittsburgh (USA) with Prof. Peter Wipf and Prof. Donna Huryn. His research interests lie at the intersection of medicinal chemistry, chemical biology, and drug discovery, with a particular focus on quorum sensing inhibitors, antimicrobial peptides (AMPs), and the design of novel targeted therapeutic agents.
PGS. Tùng nghiên cứu bậc học Thạc Sĩ tại Đại Học quốc gia Seoul, Hàn Quốc dưới sự hướng dẫn của giáo sư Seung Bum Park vào năm 2014. Năm 2017, PGS. Tùng nhận bằng Tiến Sĩ tại Đại học Copenhagen, Đan Mạch dưới sự hướng dẫn của giáo sư John Nielsen và Giáo Sư Søren B. Christensen. Trước đó, PGS. Tùng đã tham gia nghiên cứu tại Đại học Helsinki, Phần Lan vào năm 2017. PGS. Tùng đã hoàn thành nghiên cứu sau Tiến sĩ, trợ lý GS tại Đại Học Aarhus, Đan Mạch với giáo sư Alexander N. Zelikin và Đại Học Pittsburgh, bang Pennsylvania, Hoa Kỳ dưới tài trợ của viện sức khoẻ quốc gia Hoa Kỳ ( National Institutes of Health, NIH).
